What the USA8000XLT is built for

The USA8000XLT is the extended-length, taller version of Triumph's four-post platform, rated at 8,000 lbs and built in the United States on a design that has been in service for more than 20 years. Runways are 180" long and the lift stands 90" overall, with an 83" lift height and 79" of height under the runway — enough room to stand and work under a raised vehicle, or to park a second car beneath the first. Overall length is 190" without the approach ramps and 222" with them in place, so measure your bay front to back before ordering. If your shop or garage handles longer trucks and SUVs that run out of room on a standard four-post, this is the model that fits them. Note that the lift is made in the USA but the power unit is not.

How it lifts, locks and lowers

A single hydraulic power unit drives a cable-equalized four-cable system, so all four corners rise together and the deck stays level. As the runways climb, an automatic mechanical lock engages at any of 14 positions; from there the load sits on steel, and the hydraulics only raise and lower rather than bearing the parked weight. A single-point lock release drops all four latches together for a level descent, and the lift cycles to full height in about 40 seconds. Lowered height is 5", and vehicles load over drive-on aluminum approach ramps with rear wheel stops included. Always know the gross weight of the vehicle before lifting, and never use the lift to raise only one end or one side of a vehicle.

Concrete, power and clearance requirements

Site requirements come from the installation manual, and they are worth checking before you order. The floor must be a minimum of 4 inches of 3,500-psi steel-reinforced concrete with no more than 2 degrees of slope — do not install on asphalt, wood, or any other surface. Electrically, the lift runs on a standard 110V outlet within reach of the power-unit column, so most home and light-commercial shops can power it without adding a dedicated circuit. The power unit mounts to a column and can be installed on the front-left or rear-right corner to suit your garage layout. Allow roughly 60 inches of clearance to the nearest wall so the safety-latch linkage rods can be installed, and keep the area free of overhead obstructions such as heaters, building supports, and electrical lines.

What's included and custom color options

The lift ships with a caster kit, a jack tray, three drip trays, two drive-on approach ramps, rear wheel stops, and the installation and operation manual. Because it rolls on the caster kit, anchoring to the floor is optional rather than required. The three drip trays sit in the center channel between the runways and catch fluid from the upper vehicle so it never reaches the car parked below. The jack tray accepts a bottle jack or floor jack, letting you lift one end of the vehicle wheels-free while it sits on the lift. Standard finish is grey and black. Custom runway and crossrail colors are available at no extra charge: the columns stay grey, the drip trays stay black plastic, the power unit stays black, and the aluminum ramps cannot be painted. Custom color orders are non-cancelable once placed, with production time of approximately 3 weeks plus freight transit.

Key features

  • Made in the USA — built on a proven design with more than 20 years in the field; the power unit is not made in the USA

  • Extended geometry — 180" runways, 90" overall height, and 83" lift height for longer and taller vehicles

  • 14 locking positions — automatic mechanical safety locks engage as the runways rise, with a single-point release for level, simultaneous lowering

  • Cable-equalized lifting — a single hydraulic power unit works through a four-cable system so all four corners rise together and the deck stays level

  • Three drip trays — seat in the center channel between the runways to protect a lower vehicle during stacked storage

  • Jack tray included — accepts a bottle jack or floor jack for wheels-free service while the vehicle is on the lift

  • Portable on casters — the included caster kit lets you reposition the lift; floor anchoring is optional
