Triumph NTO-10A 10,000 lb Two-Post Overhead Auto Lift
What the NTO-10A is built for
The NTO-10A is a two-post overhead lift rated at 10,000 lbs, which covers compact cars through three-quarter-ton trucks. The overhead design routes the equalizer cables and hydraulic hoses across the top beam instead of the floor, so the bay between the columns stays clear for rolling tools, transmission jacks, and drained fluids. Overall width is 133 inches and the distance between posts is 107 inches, with a 96-inch drive-thru opening. Lifting height is 72 inches, which gives most technicians room to stand and work under the vehicle, and the carriages settle to a 4.5-inch lowered height so low-clearance cars drive on without ramps. Full lift takes about 40 seconds, and the carriages hold on mechanical safety locks at the position you set.
Arms, adapters, and vehicle fit
The lift uses a Versymmetric three-stage arm set: two three-stage front arms and two two-stage rear arms. Front arms extend from 29 to 51.5 inches and rear arms from 27 to 41.5 inches, so the same lift reaches in to short wheelbases and out to long ones without swapping hardware. Drop-in truck adapters in 1.5-, 3-, and 6-inch heights stack to raise the contact point for trucks and SUVs. Rubber door protectors mount to both columns to shield vehicle doors during loading and unloading. Lifting is by chain drive over a pair of factory-installed hydraulic cylinders, with equalizer cables keeping both carriages synchronized. A single-point lock release drops the carriage locks from one lever so the lift lowers quickly and consistently.
What the bay and the power supply need
Each column anchors to the slab through its 18" x 17" base plate, and the floor beneath has to be a level concrete slab of at least 4 inches at 3,000 PSI. The lift cannot be installed on asphalt or other unstable surfaces. Overall height is 145 inches, and you should plan for a bay with at least 12 feet of ceiling clearance; confirm the exact clearance for your installation against the installation manual. The power unit runs on 220V single-phase, 60 Hz power and draws 3 HP, and a qualified electrician should make the connection on a dedicated, properly protected circuit. Most installers complete setup in about three to four hours, plus the electrical hookup, cycling the lift several times to bleed air before loading a vehicle.
Delivery, commissioning, and warranty
The NTO-10A ships by LTL common-carrier freight on a standard semi-trailer and weighs about 1,407 lbs on the pallet. The driver delivers to your address but does not unload — you are responsible for removing the lift from the truck with a forklift, telehandler, tractor, or similar equipment, and lift-gate service is not available for automotive lifts of this size. If a semi cannot reach your location, the lift can be routed to the carrier's nearest terminal for pickup with a trailer. The lift is filled with AW32 non-detergent hydraulic oil and the reservoir holds about 12 quarts, so confirm fluid availability when you order. Parts are covered for 1 year with no labor; the hydraulic cylinders carry a 30-day full warranty, after which a seal kit is provided. Rubber lifting pads are not covered.
Key features
Single-point lock release — one lever drops the carriage locks so you can lower the lift quickly and consistently.
Versymmetric three-stage arms — two three-stage front arms (29" to 51.5") and two two-stage rear arms (27" to 41.5") reach short and long wheelbases.
Padded overhead cutoff bar — an electric safety cutoff stops the lift before the vehicle contacts the top beam.
220V, 3 HP power unit — single-phase, 60 Hz motor with a steel-tank reservoir, mounted on the column for easy access.
Chain-drive lifting with cable equalization — leaf chain over the cylinders does the lifting while equalizer cables keep the two carriages synchronized.
Drop-in truck adapters — stackable adapters in 1.5", 3", and 6" heights raise the contact point for trucks and SUVs.
Overhead cable and hose routing — keeps the floor between the columns clear for rolling tools and drain pans.
