Triumph NTC-950-1 Tire Changer and NTB-800 Wheel Balancer Combo
What the combo covers
This package is the two machines a tire bay needs to take a wheel from old rubber to a balanced, road-ready assembly. The NTC-950-1 is a commercial-style tire changer with a single assist arm, which adds support when mounting run-flat and low-profile tires. Its bead breaker delivers 5,500 lbs of force for stubborn beads, and a jet-blast bead-seating system helps set the bead on the rim. Inflation is rated to 120 PSI. The NTB-800 balancer turns a cycle in 6 to 9 seconds and reads each wheel to ±1-gram accuracy, so one operator can mount, demount, and balance without leaving the workstation. Each machine is also sold on its own if you only need to add one to an existing bay.
Wheel and tire sizes each machine handles
On the changer, the turntable clamps wheels from 16" to 28" on the inside and 14" to 26" on the outside. Maximum wheel width is 15" and maximum tire diameter is 43". Those two numbers are the real limits to check before you buy: a tall light-truck tire or an extra-wide wheel that exceeds them will not fit the machine. The NTB-800 balancer takes wheels from 10" to 28" in diameter, rim widths from 1.5" to 20", and tires up to 44" in diameter, with a maximum wheel weight of 150 lbs. The balancer shaft is 36 mm. Between the two, the range covers passenger cars and most light-truck wheels that roll into a general-service shop.
Power, air, and floor space
Both the tire changer and the wheel balancer run on standard 110-volt power, so the combo drops into a shop without a dedicated high-voltage circuit. The changer uses a 1.5 HP motor; the balancer uses a 1/4 HP motor. Maximum inflation pressure on the changer is 120 PSI, so your air supply needs to reach that for jet-blast bead seating. Assembled dimensions for the balancer are 28" x 48" x 62". The listing does not publish assembled dimensions for the tire changer, so plan its footprint from the machine itself rather than from a published figure. Shipping dimensions are 51" x 38" x 51" at 820 lbs for the changer and 30" x 39" x 51" at 300 lbs for the balancer.
What ships with each machine and how it arrives
The NTC-950-1 includes a metal and plastic demount head, plastic wheel-clamp covers, a tire iron, and a lube bucket and brush. The NTB-800 includes a plastic safety hood, a quick-release wing nut, cone adapters, a wheel-weight hammer, and a rim caliper. Two NTB-800 details matter on the floor: a wheel brake holds the wheel still while you place weights, so the reading you balanced to is the reading you keep, and automatic data entry lets you enter a single parameter while the balancer captures the other two. The combo ships by LTL freight with lift-gate service, and the driver lowers the equipment to the ground at the back of the truck. Shipping is free to the lower 48. Triumph backs the combo with a 1-year parts warranty.
