Triumph NTC-650 Heavy-Duty Truck Tire Changer, 63" Max Tire Diameter
What the NTC-650 is built for
The Triumph NTC-650 is a heavy-duty tire changer built for the rubber that breaks ordinary machines — box trucks, over-the-road tractors, buses, and agricultural equipment. Its powered robotic mount and demount arm carries the load through every bead, so a single operator can service oversized commercial tires without wrestling them by hand. A wireless remote runs the machine, which lets the operator stand wherever the view of the wheel is best instead of staying tied to one control position. A bead press clamp and clamp covers are included to protect finished rims through mount and demount. The machine also ships with a crow bar and an instructional video covering setup and operation, so a shop that already knows commercial tire work has what it needs to start on day one.
Wheel sizes it handles — and what it does not
Three numbers define the working envelope: a clamping range of 14 to 26 inches, a maximum tire diameter of 63 inches, and a maximum wheel width of 30.5 inches. That covers the large-diameter rims and stiff sidewalls that passenger-tire machines cannot touch. Per Triumph's tire-equipment fitment chart, the NTC-650 column covers box trucks, over-the-road trucks, 19.5-inch and 21.5-inch wheels, and implement (agricultural) wheels. Passenger cars and half-ton through one-ton light trucks fall outside its range. If your shop mixes commercial work with car and light-truck service, treat the NTC-650 as the heavy-side machine rather than a single changer that covers the whole bay. Check your typical rim diameters and wheel widths against the 14–26 inch and 30.5 inch limits before ordering.
Power, air, and the bead-seating question
The NTC-650 runs on 220V power — confirm your shop's available service before ordering, since this is not a machine you plug into a standard outlet. Inflation is rated to a maximum of 120 PSI, enough to seat heavy commercial tire beads. One point worth knowing before you compare it against other machines: the NTC-650 has no bead blast system. Inflation runs through a standard tire inflation hose rather than an air-blast bead-seating setup, so if your workflow depends on a blast tank to pop stubborn beads, this is not that machine. Everything else in the inflation path is conventional shop air practice. Shipping weight is 1,420 lbs and the crate measures 80" x 63" x 36"; assembled dimensions are not published for this model.
Freight delivery, included tooling, and warranty
The NTC-650 ships crated via LTL freight with lift gate service, and shipping is free to the lower 48 United States. The driver lowers the machine to the ground at the rear of the truck — they do not move it inside your shop or assemble it, and you schedule the delivery appointment directly with the freight carrier. At 1,420 lbs crated, plan how you will move it from the curb into the bay. Included in the box: crow bar, wireless remote, clamp covers, bead press clamp, and instructional video. The machine carries a 1-year parts warranty, parts only, with no labor coverage. Not covered on tire changers: all plastic protective pads and tooling on clamps, heads, bead breakers, and assist arms; the single tire inflation hose; and the lube brush and bucket.
