Two vehicles in one footprint

The NSS-9000 is built to do two jobs at once: store a vehicle overhead and keep the floor underneath clear for parking or service. Drive a car onto the deck, raise it, and a second vehicle can occupy the same floor space below. The deck is double-wide, giving two side-by-side drive-on lanes on 18.5" runways, with a rated capacity of 9,000 lbs for cars, trucks, and SUVs within that weight. Three drip trays are included to catch oil, coolant, or brake fluid from the stored vehicle so nothing reaches whatever sits below it. The included jack tray accepts a bottle jack or floor jack, letting you raise one end of a vehicle on the deck for wheel, brake, or underbody work without tying up a second lift.

Space and clearances to check first

This is a wide lift, so measure before you order. Overall width is 208" and overall length is 190", with a drive-through width of 192" between the posts. Runways are 180" long and 18.5" wide, and each post sits on a 12" x 12" base plate. Overall height is 91.5", which is the number to compare against your ceiling, garage door track, and any lighting or storage above the bay. Lifting height is 77", and height under the runway is 72" — that clearance figure determines how tall a vehicle can park or be worked on underneath. Fully lowered, the deck sits 6" off the ground, so low-clearance cars load over the approach ramps without scraping.

Locks, lowering, and daily operation

An automatic locking system engages at 12 positions as the lift rises, so the deck is supported at fixed increments through its travel rather than resting on hydraulic pressure alone. A single-point lock release disengages all four corners together when you are ready to lower, which keeps the deck level instead of requiring you to walk the lift and release each post by hand. Lift time is 60 seconds from the lowered position. Vehicles load over two drive-on approach ramps, and the 6" lowered height keeps the approach angle shallow. The design has been in service for more than 20 years, and the lift is completely portable, so it can be repositioned in the shop or garage rather than being fixed to one bay permanently.

Power, setup, and finish options

The NSS-9000 runs on standard 110V single-phase power, so no dedicated 220V circuit or three-phase service is needed. It installs on a solid, level concrete floor; the included owner's and installation manual covers the manufacturer's concrete thickness and strength requirements along with assembly and operation. The lift is customer-installed and designed to be straightforward to set up — installation labor is not included. Shipping weight is 3,800 lbs, and the crate cannot be unloaded by hand, so plan for equipment such as a forklift, skid steer, or tractor at delivery. The standard finish is black and red. Custom paint is available at no extra charge on all painted parts; drip trays remain black plastic, the power unit remains black, and the aluminum ramps cannot be painted.
