Triumph NSS-8SQ Classic 8,000 lb Four-Post Storage Lift
What the Classic is built for
The NSS-8SQ Classic does two jobs: it parks a second vehicle overhead to reclaim floor space, and it raises a car for routine service. It is an 8,000 lb four-post lift running a design that has been in the field for over 20 years, and this shorter-length version keeps the full 8,000 lb capacity in a tighter footprint. Two runways carry the vehicle to a 72" lift height, leaving 69" of clearance under the runway so a second car can pull in underneath. Three drip trays sit between the runways to catch anything that weeps from the vehicle up top before it reaches the car below. A steel jack tray holds a bottle jack or floor jack, so you can raise one end of the car on the lift to pull wheels or work on brakes.
Footprint, runways and ceiling height
Overall length is 175" with the drive-on approach ramps attached and 141" without them, and overall width is 106". The runways are 132" long and 18" wide, set 37" apart, with 93" of drive-through width between the posts. Base plates measure 12" x 12". Lowered height is 5". Overall height of the lift itself is 84". For ceiling planning, treat that 84" as the lift alone: when you store a vehicle on top, add the height of that vehicle to the 72" lift height and measure your ceiling against the combined figure before ordering. Any vehicle within the 8,000 lb capacity and those runway dimensions will fit on the lift.
Power, locks and portability
Power comes from a self-contained hydraulic power unit with a steel oil tank and a UL-listed plug, wired for a 110-volt supply. A full raise takes about 40 seconds. Automatic safety locks engage at 10 positions as the lift rises, so the load rests on steel at every stop. A single-point lock release drops all four corners together when you lower, instead of walking the lift column to column. The NSS-8SQ is completely portable — the included four-wheel caster kit lets you roll the whole lift to a new spot in the garage rather than committing it to one bay for good. The standard finish is grey.
What ships and how it arrives
Each NSS-8SQ includes four lifting columns with 10-position automatic locks and column caps, two runways with diamond-plate drive-on approach ramps, the hydraulic power unit and hydraulic hose, a four-wheel caster kit with caster dollies and pins, a steel jack tray, three drip trays, runway stops and lock-release rods, assembly and mounting hardware, and an installation manual plus cable-routing guide. Shipping weight is 1,600 lbs. The lift moves by LTL freight and arrives on a 48-foot semi truck. The driver does not unload it and lift-gate service is not available for auto lifts, so plan on a forklift, Bobcat, tractor, tow truck or backhoe — or have the lift routed to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup. Shipping to the lower 48 United States is free.
