Built for storage and for service

The NSS-8F-G is a four-post lift rated at 8,000 lbs, and it is aimed at two jobs. The first is parking: raised to its full 72" lift height, it lifts one vehicle high enough to park a second underneath, which is why three drip trays sit between the runways to keep fluids from the top vehicle off the car below. The second is service: the same runways bring a car up to a comfortable working height, and the included steel jack tray holds a bottle jack or floor jack so you can raise one end of the vehicle for wheel and brake work while it sits on the lift. It is a freestanding, portable design that has been in service for more than 20 years.

Footprint, clearances and what will fit

Measure your bay before you order. The lift is 195" long with the approach ramps in place and 175" without them, 106" wide overall, and 84" tall at the columns. The runways are 165" long and 18" wide with 37" between them, and drive-through width is 93". Lowered height is 5", so a car drives on over the ramps rather than climbing a tall step. At full height the clearance under the runway is 69" — that is the number to compare against the roof height of whatever you plan to park below. The 84" overall height is the minimum ceiling the columns themselves need; add the height of the vehicle you intend to store on top when you check your garage.

Locks, power and lift speed

Automatic safety locks engage at 10 positions as the lift rises, running on 5/16-inch steel lock rods, and a single-point release lowers all four corners together when you bring the vehicle down. Lift time is 40 seconds. The column-mounted power unit uses a steel hydraulic oil reservoir and a UL-listed plug, wired for 110V service, so it runs on standard household power rather than a dedicated shop circuit — a large part of why this lift suits a home garage as well as a shop. Each column sits on a 12" x 12" base plate. Aluminum approach ramps let you drive on from either end and fold up out of the way once the vehicle is on the runways. The default standard color is grey.

What is included and how it ships

Everything needed to position and use the lift comes in the box: the caster kit, a steel jack tray, three plastic drip trays, aluminum approach ramps, and an installation manual plus a cable-routing guide. The caster kit is worth calling out — it lets you roll the assembled lift to a new spot in the garage without taking it apart, so the lift does not have to live in one place. Shipping weight is 1,600 lbs and the lift moves by LTL freight on a 48-foot semi. The driver does not unload it and liftgate service is not available for auto lifts, so plan on a forklift, tractor, Bobcat or similar equipment at your location, or route the shipment to the carrier's nearest freight terminal and pick it up with a trailer or moving van. Triumph backs the NSS-8F-G with a 1-year parts warranty.

Key features

  • Four-post freestanding design — a stable platform that works equally well for overhead vehicle storage and for raising a car to service height.

  • Automatic 10-position safety locks — locks engage as the lift rises on 5/16-inch steel lock rods, and a single-point release drops all four corners together.

  • 110V power unit — column-mounted, with a steel hydraulic oil reservoir and a UL-listed plug, wired for 110V service.

  • Included caster kit — roll the lift to a new spot in the garage without disassembly.

  • Steel jack tray — holds a bottle jack or floor jack so you can lift one end of the vehicle for wheel and brake work while it is on the runways.

  • Three drip trays — sit between the runways to catch fluids and keep the vehicle below clean when you stack two cars.

  • Folding aluminum approach ramps — drive on from either end, then fold the ramps up out of the way.
