What the NSS-11 is built for

The NSS-11 is a four-post lift rated at 11,000 lbs for both vehicle service and stacked storage. Drive-on ramps and a 5" lowered height let a car roll on without sleds or dollies, and 81" of height under the runways gives usable working room beneath a raised vehicle. For storage duty, six drip trays sit between the runways so oil or coolant leaking from the upper vehicle is contained instead of reaching the one parked below. An included jack tray accepts a bottle jack or floor jack when you need to raise one end of a vehicle on the runways. The design has been in continuous production for over twenty years and ships in default grey.

Fit and clearances

Measure the bay before you buy. The runways are 196" long and 19.5" wide, with spacing adjustable to 39" or 44.5" between them to suit narrow-track and wide-track vehicles. Drive-thru width is 118" and overall width is 130", so this lift needs a wider bay than a typical two-post installation. Overall length without ramps is 216", and overall height is 97" — that is the figure to check against your garage ceiling, door header, or trusses. Maximum lift height is 86.5" at the runways, with 81" of clear height underneath. Compare your vehicle's wheelbase, track width, and curb weight against those numbers and the 11,000-lb rating to confirm fit.

Power, floor, and lock system

The hydraulic power unit is column-mounted and runs on 110 V, 60 Hz, single-phase service, so no three-phase wiring or special high-amperage electrical work is required. Lift time is 40 seconds. A single hydraulic cylinder drives a four-cable equalizer system that keeps the four columns traveling together, and automatic mechanical locks engage at 11 positions as the vehicle rises. A single-point release drops all four columns together. The owner's manual specifies a minimum concrete strength of 3,000 PSI under the column base plates, which measure 11.5" x 9.75"; confirm your slab's strength, depth, and levelness before installing. Per the manual, the electrical hookup should be made by a qualified electrician to the motor nameplate rating.

Freight delivery and what ships

The NSS-11 ships via LTL common-carrier freight on a 48-foot semi truck and weighs approximately 2,400 lbs. The customer unloads the lift from the truck — the driver does not unload it, and lift gate delivery is not available for auto lifts. Unloading requires a forklift, Bobcat, tractor, tow truck, or back hoe; the lift cannot be unloaded by hand. If unloading at your address is not possible, the lift can be shipped to the carrier's nearest freight terminal for pickup with a trailer or moving van. Delivery appointments are coordinated by the customer directly with the carrier. The shipment includes the lift in default grey, caster kit, jack tray, six drip trays, drive-on ramps, wheel chocks, and installation hardware with the owner's manual.
