What the NOS9000XLT is built for

This is a dual-purpose four post lift: park one vehicle over another to double your floor space, or raise a single vehicle for service work. Capacity is 9,000 lbs. The runways are 191.5" long and 18" wide, and the drive-thru width between the posts is 99", so it is sized for full-size cars and trucks rather than compacts only. Maximum lift height is 85", with 80.5" of height under the runway once the lift is at full rise. That under-runway figure is the number to check against the roof height of whatever you plan to store underneath. Lowered height is 5", so the drive-on angle stays reasonable. The design has been in use for over 20 years.

Space and ceiling requirements

Measure before you buy. Overall height of the lift is 107", so your ceiling has to clear that plus whatever you intend to raise on the runways. Overall length is 239.5" and overall width is 119", which is the true footprint including posts — not just the runway span. Base plate size is 12" x 12" at each post. Drive-thru width is 99", the clear opening you drive through between the posts. If you are working with a standard residential garage, the 107" overall height is usually the limiting number, and the 239.5" overall length determines how much room is left in front of and behind the lift. Confirm all three dimensions against your bay before ordering.

Power, locks, and lift speed

The NOS9000XLT runs on 110 Volts, so it can be plugged into standard household-style power rather than requiring a dedicated 220V circuit — a practical advantage for home garages and rented bays. Full rise takes 40 seconds. Automatic locks engage at 15 different positions as the vehicle goes up, so the lift is supported mechanically at whatever working height you stop at, not just at the top. Lock release is single point, meaning you disengage all four locks from one location instead of walking the lift and releasing each post separately. Together those two things make repeated raise-and-lower cycles quick, which matters more for service use than for long-term parking.

What comes with the lift

The NOS9000XLT ships with a caster kit, a jack tray, and three drip trays. The caster kit lets you roll the lift around the garage instead of leaving it fixed in one spot, which is what makes this a portable install rather than a permanent one. The jack tray accepts a bottle jack or floor jack so you can lift one end of the vehicle off the runways to pull wheels or work on brakes. The three drip trays sit under the upper vehicle and catch fluid before it lands on the car parked below — worth having if the top slot holds an older vehicle. This is an Outside Slider design. Default standard color is black and red.
