Triumph NOS9000 9,000 lb Four Post Service and Storage Lift
What the NOS9000 is built for
The NOS9000 is a 9,000 lb capacity four post lift intended for both service work and vehicle storage. It uses the outside slider design, with 6"x6" slide collars riding on 5"x5" posts, which gives the lift a rigid stance under load. The runways are boxed tracks for extra strength, measuring 170" long and 18" wide, with 93" of drive thru width between the posts. Rated capacity is 9,000 lbs, so check the curb weight of the heaviest vehicle you plan to put on it before ordering. A rolling jack tray with a drain plug is part of the lift, so the runways are set up for wheels-free work, though the specification list does not include a rolling jack itself. Finish is black and red powder coat.
Space and clearance you need
Plan the bay around the lift's outside footprint: 212.5" overall length, 113" overall width and 95" overall height. That 95" figure is the number to compare against your ceiling, garage door track and any lighting or ductwork in the way. Maximum lift height is 77.5", with 73" of clearance under the runway once the lift is raised to the top, which is the working figure if you intend to stand under it. At the bottom, lowered height is 5", so the 36" aluminum ramps carry the vehicle up a short rise. Twelve locking positions let you stop the lift at intermediate heights rather than only at the top. Measure your actual bay before ordering, including the swing of any door that opens into the lift footprint.
Locks, safety and daily operation
The lift uses manual dead bolt locks with an oversized release linkage, and a single point lock release so you disengage all four posts from one place instead of walking the lift. Twelve locking positions are available through the travel range. A secondary redundant safety system backs up the primary locks. Cable keepers are fitted to prevent cable run off, a common source of trouble on cable-driven four post lifts. Lift time is 40 seconds from the lowered position, and the power unit runs on 110 volts, which matters if your shop or garage does not have a 220V circuit available near the lift location. Base plates are 12" x 12" and 5/8" thick where the posts meet the floor.
What is included with the lift
The NOS9000 ships with a set of drip trays, a rolling jack tray with a drain plug, cable keepers, and two 36" aluminum ramps that weigh only 29 lbs each, so one person can move and set them without help. Heavy duty poly coated casters are included as well, which is the relevant accessory if you want the option to reposition the lift rather than treat it as a permanent fixture. Shipping weight is listed at 2,123 lbs, so plan for freight delivery and a way to move the crated components off the truck and into the bay. Freight to the lower 48 states is included in the price on the source listing, and orders are listed as shipping 8-10 weeks after they are placed.
