Cable-free posts set to any width
The C-7000 is a two-post lift that is not limited by cables running between the columns, so each post can be mounted at any width from 48 to 120 inches, measured center to center. That range is the practical difference between this lift and a fixed-footprint design: you can set the spacing tight for a compact car in a narrow bay, or open it out toward 120 inches for a full-size light truck, and the same lift covers both. Rated capacity is 7,000 lb. Each column sits on an 18" x 15" base plate, and the swing arms carry rubber lifting pads with 3" and 6" pad extensions and truck adapters included for vehicles that need a taller pickup point.
Portable setup and usable floor space
This is a lift you can put away. A single operator can take the C-7000 down and store it in under 10 minutes, which matters in a bay that has to do more than one job, or in a home garage that still needs to park a vehicle at night. The flush mounting system keeps the anchor points level with the floor, so with the columns removed you keep 100% of your usable floor space instead of working around permanent hardware. Nothing protrudes to catch a jack, a creeper, or a tire. Note that column casters, the wheels that mount to the back of the posts, are not included with the lift, so plan how you will move the columns.
Ceiling height and working clearance
Overall height is 7'11", or 95 inches, which is the number to check first against your building. Many two-post lifts are simply too tall for a residential garage or a shop with a low header, and this one is built to fit under that constraint. Maximum lifting height is 69 inches, so there is still room to stand and work underneath rather than crouch. At the other end of the travel, lowered arm clearance is 4.5 inches, which is what determines how low a vehicle can sit and still have the arms slide beneath the pinch welds. Between the 95-inch overall height and the 69-inch lift, the C-7000 is aimed squarely at shops that cannot go taller.
Power, locks, and what ships with it
The C-7000 runs on standard 110V power. There is no 220V service to run, no dedicated circuit to have installed by an electrician before the lift is useful, which removes one of the larger hidden costs of putting a two-post lift into a garage. Load holding is handled by a welded automatic locking ladder system, so the lift engages its locks as it rises rather than depending on the hydraulics to hold at height. The package includes two lifting posts, swing arms with rubber lifting pads, the 3" and 6" pad extensions and truck adapters, and the 110V hydraulic power unit. Column casters are the one omission and are not part of the shipment.
